I am trying to convert a List View to an XSLT Data View, but the command is not to be found in the menu !?

Specifically, while editing a page in Sharepoint Designer, I right-click on a dataview webpart. I do get a menu, which has most of the items on p.252 of the book, but missing are:

Auto Thumbnail
Convert to XSLT Data View
Web Part Zone Properties

Please advise!!
