(1) You posted in WAY the wrong forum. Your question has NOTHING to do with the book this forum is for.

(2) Do you mean classical ASP (pages that end in ".asp") or ASP.NET (they end in ".aspx")??

Determine your answer to question 2 and then go find the RIGHT forum to post in--either the general ASP forum or a general ASP.NET forum.

I will say that if you meant ASP, then yes you will use ADO.
If you meant ASP.NET, you will use ADO.NET, but you will likely never be aware that you are using it.
