Hi Klaus

You ask an interesting question. I am reading 'Beginning iOS Application Development with HTML and Javascript' by Richard Wagner, which I mistakenly thought was the same as your at first reading.

Richard explains how to connect using Javascript and SQLite, though he doesn't explain any of the database side. If you don't know how to set up a database, you may need to do some reading on that topic too. For small apps, SQLite should do fine, though I am wedded to PostgreSQL.

Richard's book is excellent, though I am going to get a copy of Patrick's book to see what extra ideas it offers.

Hope this has been of some help.

Rob
