Hi Banjo,

Sorry about that. The short answer is that the newer Universal (UWP) apps are intended to be installed as apps so they can only run inside an app container. That means you need to run them either in the Visual Studio development environment, or you can install them as apps via the App Store.

That book deals mostly with Windows Forms and to a lesser extent WPF applications. Those kinds of programs create an executable that you can run by double-clicking on the local machine.
