Subject: Flash remoting with core Java and Tomcat. How??

Hello everyone!

I want to start using Flash remoting. I have some questions regarding the requirements. I cant really figure out if i can use the technology that i want to use.

Do i need to have J2EE? Some samples says i can use core Java classes insted of EJB or JavaBeans. Does this mean i use JSDK or am i trapped with J2EE? I have never worked with Enterprise java and would like to avoid that for the moment. But unfortently every sample im finding is just handeling J2EE.....

If i can use normal Java classes where do i download the Remoting for that. Because in macromedia site for Remoting i can only choose from Remoting to .NET or J2EE.....

If i can use normal core java classes. Does anyone have any URL or sample where i can start from?

I have also read that i can use Tomcat as Java application server but i have not found any sample how to configure that to Flash Remoting. Does anyone have a URL or other information that would help me.

Hope anyone can help me cause im getting frustrated.
Thanks.

Best regards Maria
