Dear All,
I am a newbie in the .NET environment. I need some advice in regards on what options do I have if I want to developt the following system:
Scenario ========
Users will have to update their working timesheet on a day-to-day basis. The login will be captured and validated based on the Active Directory and the module has to be created as a part of a webpart (sharepoint portal server)
Problem ======= I am confused on whether should I use Visual Studio .NET or Frontpage 2003 for my development. I have noticed that many examples on the Active Directory authentication is done using C#. Is there any example using VB.NET ?
And where should I start? I have my sharepoint service configured at http://localhost
I have experience in ASP.
Thanx in advance.
Really confused ... nagesh286

If your building a timesheet app- I'd really go to http://www.asp.net and click on the "Starter Kits" tab. Grab the one MSFT provides there and see if it meets your needs- or you can modify it to meet your needs.
Hal Levy I am here to help you, not do it for you.
