Well i'm kinda new to the JAVA world, i was just wondering what the difference between SDK and JDK is
Also, i would like some suggestions because i have Java 2 JDK 1.3 edition by Ivor Horton lying here. But since my basic language isn't english (altough i find myself very advanced in it) i can't understand some words. So the suggestion is: If i'd post those words here, would i get a translation to dutch? As i've noticed some dutch members already

Have fun, Sidearm

As SDK means
Software Development Kit. A set of programs that allows software developers to create products to run on a particular platform or to work with an API.
while JDK means
Java Development Kit. A software development package from Sun Microsystems that implements the basic set of tools needed to write, test and debug Java applications and applets

Yes Sidearm, OK, but I'm here once a week, so perhaps its better to find a (computer)dictionary, in the bookstore or on the internet.

Je kunt ook naar de Slegte gaan, als jullie die hebben in Belgique, want daar zijn nogal wat oude nederlandstalige Java boeken in de ramsj (Euro 7) en dan kun je vergelijken hoe wij dat zeggen.
Toch blijft het een Engelstalig gebeuren Java, so you'd be learning two flies in one blow..

SDK = Sun development kit (download the 1.5 version at www.sun.com)
basically the best!
