Hi,
I have been working on ASP and VB technologies. But now i need to extract data from a hand held scanner. This hand held scanner reads a serial number which is in barcode format. Can anyone suggest me how do i go about.

What barcode format is it;
Code 39, Extended Code 39, Code 128, USS Code 128, UCC/EAN Code 128, Code 128 Auto, SCC-14, SSCC-18, Interleaved 2 of 5, LOGMARS, Codabar, UPC-A, UPC-E, MSI, EAN-8, EAN-13, Code 11, Code 93, Industrial 2 of 5, PLANET or POSTNET? There are several barcode readers on the market (as far as I can tell the price is about $250), is that an option?
