Paging in ASP.

Hi all,
during my search for paging in asp, i found two basic ways to do so,
viz, client side and server side, since i m developing an intranet web application can anyone suggest which way is better for me?
what i think is server side is better as user may have multiple application running at the same time, either if i use client side, server's load will be lesser as at a pertilcuar time there may be many user using web application.
Or should i user asp dot net for paing? as i don't have any idea about paing in asp dot net 1.1. Is it having built in support 4 paging?
Please guide.
