Hi!!
its better if select tool based on your requirement. Question here is why u r interested in learning vfp 6 and not VB6. Are u looking for some special features in vfp6 which are not there is vb6.
As per my exp. VB6 is a much better tool for developing Front-End apps as compare to vfp6.

hi, i am also interested in getting started with vfp6, as i already have seen how flexible on vfp program could be. the program i saw had ability that let the user to generate forms, by coding in vfp, sql or java, that gathered information form numerous databases which the user selected.
so if you really can help to get started with vfp, i'd be glad to get some material to read (i lately started to learn VB6 from "Teach Yourself Visual Basic In 24 Hours", which i found very efficent, i'd be glad to get similar book for Visula Fox Pro)
