Hi, I've been unable to set up a web site for Membership following the text from p584 onwards. I've spent a day sourcing more info but I'm more confused than ever. If I've understood correctly, VS2005 should auto create the SQLServerExpress file in the App_Data folder automatically. I must have missed something not clearly explained on page 587. I wonder if any of you have got it to work and if so could share with me the outline steps required to do this using VS 2005 and SqlServer Express - ideally right from creating the new website.

Sorted! I'm assuming the problem was related to the default instance of SQL SERVER EXPRESS installed as part of VS 2005. After creating a new instance everything fell into place and worked nicely. Lost a day but that's life - onwards and upwards (well at least to the end of chapter 16..)
