Supposedly if you change the Language="VB" to "Esperanto" this will force a fatal error.... and you can run the page and book says you get an error page with troubleshooting information.

I am running the the project using IIS (and C#).... I do not get past the compiler errors - i.e. do not get the "error page". I do get a pop-up menu box ("There were build errors. Would you like to continue and run the last successful build?").

What should I do to learn the intendend lesson about fatal errors?

I might have just found my answer? I can produce the error page that the book is referring to by doing a right click in the the history.aspx window and choose View Browser.... then I get an error page similar to the example on page 24 of the book.

I am not sure what the difference is between choosing F5 and choosing View in Browser. But I just found one difference!

Hi - For a compile error, this sounds like you have typed something in incorrectly, OR there is an error in the book. Can you let me know the full details of the compile error please?

The View in Browser isn't the same as compiling, it basically views the web page and would circumvent this problem.
