Hi,
I want to create a P2P chat application for my LAN using C#.
1. Is this possible to do it in a Local Area Network.
2. If yes, what classes do I need to use. I have no idea about n/w
or sockets programming in .NET.

For network layer programming in C# I suggest you to start with the System.Net.Sockets.Socket class.

this is client - server example. In LAN this is not very good idea to use it.
