error code 500 when creating record set

Can anyone help
I am a newbe to mysql and PHP and I am trying to develope a web application using Dreamweaver with PHP and Mysql.
Ihave mannaged to connect to my test DB and I can see the table and fields in the database pannel but when I try to create a recordset it shows me a error code 500 and will not show me any tables or records.
Can someone help Please!
