Ok nice to see Ur approach towards programming. This world is very broad so, u can go do lot of here. As I told u here r two main classifications one is system programming and other application programming.

In system u has to write software which is near to hardware and mission critical. Like software for launching of space ship, control of nuclear power plants machines ,OS kernel or System device driver etc.

in application u have to develop software for application like bank management, online air ticket booking, for retail shop inventory or like media player, chat application etc

The different type of project need different programming language, like 4 system we prefer C/C++ and application we can go 4 .net or java.

Now tell me what u likes and where u likes to go. U can ask me more about these but before pls tell me where do u live and what subject u studied in Ur course...

Hi ,alsafwa
It doesnt Matter What language u study. It Almost Like a human Language. If u know one,its simple to learn others.Better Start With Learning OOPs concepts well. Then U may choose to learn c#.The Simple Reason is it easy to learn and its possible to write All kinds of programs like console ,WEB ,Windows till Web Services. If u wish then u can easily migrate to other languages like c++ or java.Because not only syntax between them is almost same,But there are lot learning tools to assist the migration between these languages.

OOP is an acryonym for Object-oriented programming [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Object_Oriented_Programming].
You may also want to look into Object oriented design [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Object_oriented_design].

I would start with C++, while reading Code Complete 2nd Edition by Steve McConnell [http://www.amazon.com/Code-Complete-Second-Steve-McConnell/dp/0735619670/].
