There's a new edition of this book coming. I've got the opportunity to try something different on this. Because a big chunk of the changes for the new edition were 4 new chapters, I'm taking this opportunity to give away the 4 new chapters to readers of the current book. I'm doing this as our way of saying "thank you" to all the readers who bought the current book and in some way, to try to keep the book up-to-date for you so you don't think "gee, I wish I'd waited a couple of months and bought the new book for $10 more."
The 4 new chapters are from the book Professional ASP.NET 2.0 Special Edition: Chapter 14: Introduction to the Provider Model Chapter 15: Extending the Provider Model Chapter 30: Localization Chapter 32: Instrumentation
If you want to read more about the rest of the changes in the new edition, I've discussed it here and here on my blog. And if you want even more details on the new edition, I've also posted the complete detailed TOC for the new edition here, at least until it's posted on wrox.com.

Jim, I've had a look through the TOC and I don't see any reference to the "new" Web application project. For people who don't know what it is see Scott Guthrie's blog (http://weblogs.asp.net/scottgu/archive/2006/02/16/438354.aspx ) is it included and I've missed it or are you doing a separate book on it? If your doing a new book what's it called?

Mark: You're right, it's not covered. Bill decided to focus on only .NET 2.0 built-in features … the only exception was the Atlas Appendix. I think that was the right decision. We haven't started on a separate book on this but it's something good to think about.
