Hi, This is kalyan. I'm new to xml and currently working with c# and .net. I have some basic knowledge of html. I basically want to know the starting point to start my learning of XML which could be useful to use it with .NET & from where i can go on with my learning

I always start my learning of a new subject by going to a bookstore and browsing the available books on the subject. You're on a Wrox site here, so why not go to the "Browse Books" section and see what meets your needs.

Pick up Wrox's XSLT 2.0 and XML for beginners.
What do you want to use XML for?

Thank you a lot 4 ur replies.
I just want to make my problem clear.
I don't want to get perfectness in XML. My job is developing applications on .NET using c#. I know that I can get to learn XML by going thru lots of books on & off the internet. But my problem is the point of beginning (say topic / chapter) from where i can just pickup something and go on using it with ASP.NET.
It will be very helpful for me if u say that: " These topics are irrelevant to .NET users (if any) so don't waste ur time on them, but u require these as primary topics so start from here as you cant understand other Topics if u don't cover these initially..."
I can't start from introduction of a book and go on as there is a little time 4 me. This is what my problem actually is!

Yes, we all suffer from the same problem: so many powerful new technologies, so few hours in the day to learn about them.
