Hi all,
Is it possible to notify more than just the From: address in the event of an email not being delivered using CDO? It appears that you can't have more than one From: address and I'm assuming it's this address that is used by default to send receipts / notifications to. If not does anyone know of any other method that will allow this?
Thanks in advance for any help, Matt

Logically, how is it possible to have 1 email from more then one person?

I will only tell you how to do it, not do it for you. Unless, of course, you want to hire me to do work for you.

Indeed. So there is no way of notifying anyone else other than the From: address in the event of a failure?

What do you mean failure? What are you trying to do?

By failure I mean if the email doesn't reach its intended destination, for whatever reason. For instance our orders to suppliers are created through a database and sent out to them once they've been approved. The other day our purchasing manager was away and it is him who receives the delivery status notifications. As so happens several failed their delivery and so the notifications weren't picked up. What I'd like is for the notifications to also go to the person who raised the order. I really need both of them because either could be out of the office at either time.

Use an alias for the From address and just have multiple people associated with that alias, really that is the best way to do it IMHO.

Thanks for your help on this. Unfortunately there are too many users to create an alias for each possible pairing. I'm going to have to discuss this with the purchasing manager to see what he is most happy with. At least I now know what my options are. Thanks again, Matt.
