hi am new to tomcat, prior i was working in JRUN4 server.
I need to have my appln outside webapps. I am able to deploy with simple page, i need to connect to Sqlserver for database connectivity,
i have mssqlserver.jar. how cano connect, can anyone help me

If you can provide which version of the tomcat you are usingi can explain the exact steps to follow to deploy the application where evr you want excludingin web-apps. We can store the web application in a location like D:\Folder
and can instruct the tomcat to load the application from the specified location.

Thats interesting, I would like to know how to do this, the version of my tomcat is 5.5
