Wrong chars

I have one program that copy data from one db server1 to the db server2(MSSQL 2000). It's small backup program. I read one row from server1 and save it on server2. When I run program in my WIN XP Prof CZ everything is OK. But when I run it in WIN2003 ENG, some chars (ìšèøž) are save to database wrong. How can I fix this problem please?
