Write column heading to text file

Hello group,
I am hoping that someone in the group can help me out. I am trying to export Access tables and queries to text file with pipe delimited, I use the print # to write out to the text files and everything work great except I cannot get the column heading name.
I need to extract the column name into the text file. I tried other methods like the DoCmd.transfertext but it doesn't give me the option of pipe delimited.
Any help will be wonderful.
