Subject: Error while running a web application
Posted By: Param Post Date: 11/14/2003 2:04:02 AM
I am trying to run an ASP.NET application on my local machine. I am getting the following error....

"Error while trying to run project: Unable to start debugging on the web server. You do not have permissions to debug the server.

Verify that you are a member of the 'Debugger Users' group on the server. Would you like to disable future attempts to debug ASP.NET pages for this project?"

I have run the components update, I have stopped and started IIS, I have reregistered apnet_isapi.dll file. I have Admin and Debugger permissions on my machine.

Still it is the same problem. Request for a solution asap.

Try looking in that article, that fixed the problem for me when I had it a while back. Turns out I had the automatic logon turned off in my zone.

I hope this helps!

I think XP SP2 is the culprit. See if this helps:
