Will this book ever be back in print, possibly even an updated 3rd Edition? Or is it gone forever?

If Wrox publishes a new book on this, it would be a completely new 3rd edition, with none of the material from the current edition. APress owns the current edition and would be the ones to reprint it if they ever decide to. They've also been revising some books they bought and giving them new names so you might watch their site for it that way too.
