Default Database Error message when opening

I am getting an error message when opening a database
Comapny Database.MDB needs to be repaired or Isn't a database file
What should I do.

It should give you an option to click a button to repair the database. If not, go to TOOLS > DATABASE UTILITIES > COMPACT & REPAIR DATABASE (assuming you're using Access 2002 or later). If earlier, check your TOOLS menu for something similar.
