I clicked on a file(cars.mdb) from a code example in a recent book and got
an error "file format unregconized". Is it Access 97 won't run in new
Access?

Access 2000 can open .mdb's created in Access 97, but not the other way
around.

Lekim
Unlikely, since Access 2000 would recognise an Access 97 database and ask if
you wanted to convert it to 2000. Are you sure that the database is not
corrupted?
