Ever since I loaded Access 2000 my A: drive runs every now and then. If I
delete it off of the computer the A: won't run. Do I have something set-up
wrong or a bug? Thanks for the help

Please check your configurations. Loading Access on your PC has nothing to
do with your a:drive.

I didn't think it did but my brother is trying to tell me that is when he
started to notice the problem. How do I check the configurations?

There is an obscure problem with Replication that can cause shared
drives
(including floppies) to be accessed at certain times. It's unlikely
that's
your problem, but you can see
http://www.trigeminal.com/usenet/usenet013.asp?1033
for further details.
Cheers,
-Roy
P.S. If you've never heard of replication, then you're most likely not
using
it & should ignore this message.
