I am distributing the runtime version of Access using Office Developer 2000
on several computers.
As part of this, I have used my pc as a test for the setup program.
I have Access 97 on my pc and shortcuts to several databases. When I
install the runtime version (Access 2000) on my pc to the following folder
c:\program files\microsoft office\office\art\, the shortcut icons for the
Access 97 databases are replaced by Access 2000 icons. Yet when i open one
of these databases, Access 97 opens.
How can i prevent the icons changing from 97 to 2000?? without going to
each pc.

From past experience, there is no fix for this problem. Just open the
Access 97 databases from Access 97 and the shortcuts should turn back to its
original state. I had the same situation after installing Access 2000 on my
PC.
