hai,
i have created an database application using VC++
,DaoRecordset class, and a ms-access database,
but the system where the application will be running,
does not contain Ms-Access or MS-Office,
so is it neccessary to have MS-Office or is there
some other dll which will take care of this,
please tell me,
arun

There are a series of DLLs that make up the Jet database engine & it's
components, which I believe are all you'll need to distribute an app based
on DAO. I know nothing about VC++, but I'd guess that InstallShield or
whatever application packager utility you're using would determine these
dependencies and create an install package that would include them.
Hope that helps...
Cheers,
-Roy
