Hello all,
I've got a question about transfering records from one access database to
another. I'm using access 97 and at the moment there is a database of sorts
that resembles a spreadsheet (ie. unnormalised, no primary
keys/relationships etc). This database does, however, consist of several
hundred records and the majority of the fields in the "new" database will
contain the same data.
What I'm wondering is whether there is an easy way to "bulk shift" certain
columns of data into a new database?
Any help would be great.
Thanks,
Clo

I just experimented with doing what you are asking about.
From the Access menu import external data into your new mdb, then open up
the imported table in design mode and selectively delete the unwanted fields
of data that you do not wish to retain. This will leave you with just the
fields that you wanted. Takes only seconds, or less.
Hope this helped.
