Hello all,



I have a client who is running an access database. I believe the database 

was originally designed using access version 2. The clients use the 

database via an access 97 front end.



Basically what is happening is every time we run our backup of the server 

(which is windows NT 4.0 SP6a using ntbackup.exe as the backup program) 

the database really slows down until we reboot the server. Alas the 

gentleman who originally wrote the database has not seen this problem 

before and we are completely stumped!



If any of you are able to shed some light on this for me I would be 

eternally in your debt :-)
