Hi, I inherited a wonderful monster of an application in Microsoft Access
97 format. We are converting our systems to Access 2000; therefore, the
app has to be converted as well. I did the conversion and fixed some VBA
code and got the conversion to go through fine. However, when looking at
the contents of a table I recieve the following: "Reserved error (-1517);
there is no message for this error." So I am stumped. Now, to the
querires. I have four SQL queries which are similiar to each other some
work and some do not, the error message I get with those is the
same "Reserved error (-1517); there is no message for this error." Has
anyone seen these error messages and found what the culprit could possibly
be.
Thanks for any help in advance, Greg

Sounds like corruption. Have you tried a compact/repair? How about on a
copy of the A97 version?

Thanks, it seemed to work. I really appreciate, I can't believe I didn't
try that before.
