Hello, I have been making a database system for my golf shop manager and 

so far the template for member entry that came with Access has been good 

enough. My only problem since updating it, is placing the Memeber ID on 

the report (which works) but resetting it upon reaching April 1st. I 

don't want to lose any records associated with the MemberID, so I 

thought I must need a count running alongside. Can someone point me in 

the correct direction in making a validation rule which will reset a 

count on April 1st, and start incrementing again upon adding new records 

to the members table.
