I have saved a database as MDE file. There are two other databases in

Lateshia,
Is anyone using the database when you were trying to delete? Make sure
that you do not have it open. To see if anyone else does, you need to:
1.go into Windows explorer and find the mde file.
2. Look for a lock file, which will have the same name as the mde file but
will be extension .LDB.
3. Try to delete the .LDB file. If you can, it means the program crashed
and exited without deleting this file, which makes Access think someone is
in the database, even if no one is. This file should always disapper when
access closes. Sometimes it doesn't, usually because of a crash. So, you
have to delete the file yourself.
If you cannot delete this file (you get the error "Cannot delete, sharing
violation, someone is using...") then someone IS using the database. You
have to kick them out so you can delete it.
The databases are not related to each other, one can't lock the other out.
If the above doesn't work/apply, you might want to make sure that the
Server Administrator gave you delete rights to files in the folder your
mde file are in.
Hope this Helps, good luck (HTH) Carol :-)

Carol,
I have verified that no one is using the db when I am trying to delete, I had
data in one, so I removed the data, thinking that may help to no avail. I
have gone inside of the database, outside of the database. I have not been
able to delete any of them since I made one a MDE file.
I had split off the table originally but to do the MDE I copied it back in. I
will see if I can delete the old split, then try to delete again.
