access thread: Access Runtime deployment and sharing

Message #1 by "Vinay Gupta" <vinay@m...> on Thu, 29 Nov 2001 11:36:54
Hi

I have created package of Access runtime (with sharing option) using

Packaging wizard. I have then install on many other computer on the

network. Actual database (.mdb) is lying on server where evenybody has

read - write rights.

When I use access run time it does not allow sharing. mainly beacuse it is

not creating .ldb file. How should i make access run time to create .ldb

file. Or some other way make database sharable.

if I am using full access pack then it creates .ldb files.

Regards

Vinay

Dear Vinay,

Hi!

How do you create an access package. We have developed an Access database.

I would like to know if the package wizard is a standard feature of ACCESS

2000 and under which heading will it be available in the MS_Access database

Regards,

Package and Deployment is an addin that's included with Office 2000

Developer Tools. I think you can buy the Developer Tools for a couple

hundred bucks.

These tools are included (among several others) in the Office 2000

Developer version of MS Office products. It's expensive...but, you get all

sorts of things to play with :)
