I am constructing a Report to display multiple subjects. Unfortunately, I 

am trying to display information from two table, who's relationship is one 

to many.  After constructing the report, I am displaying the information 

more than once. Will I need to specify one record to show or can I display 

the main record once and the Detail record as many times as it occurs.



For Example:



Doctor Ned Flanders: Patient - Homer Simpson, Marg Simpson, Bart Simpson



Shows

Doctor Ned Flanders: Homer Simpson

Doctor Ned Flanders: Marg Simpson

Doctor Ned Flanders: Bart Simpson



When I want it to show:

Doctor Ned Flanders:

Patient - Homer Simpson, Marg Simpson, Bart Simpson

Go to the properties for the first column (in your example the Doctor) and

set 'Hide Duplicates' to Yes. This will give you:



Doctor Ned Flanders Homer Simpson

                    Mark Simpson

                    Bart Simpson





Alternatively, group by the first column (the Doctor) and put the doctor

name in the group header, the individual records in the detail section and

a separator (anything from a space to a new page) in the group footer. This

will five you:



Doctor Ned Flanders

                    Homer Simpson

                    Mark Simpson

                    Bart Simpson
