access thread: R: Which do you prefer for Access Projects (.adp)...Access2k or AccessXP?
>My opinion: if you're developing an ADP project, Access 2002 has many
features you'll want to consider:one important is you can modify in
structure an access 2k.mdb without having to convert it before.
Another issue: SQL wiews, stored proc. and functions ( an access query with
parameters) can be created directly from QBE , so it's easier to write T-SQL
for not-professionals. (Not an excuse for not learning T-SQL if you work
everyday with SQL server...).
What's more..DAP can be distributed also to user who don't have access
installed on their pc. If you're planning to use DAP then think about Access
2002.
Finally, many events have been added for VBA, go to Microsoft Access site
for more details

I'm currently using Access2k...but, I just got a book in the mail that
talks about some of the differences with the .adp file, between the
versions. Before I get too far along in a project, I'd be curious to get
input from those who have some experience with both :) And, see if I'd
be better off using AccessXP.
