I have set a databse up into a local directory. After using the database I 

find that it has tranfered itself to another directory namely C:\My 

Documents - any suggestions.

I'm guessing that the database does a save & exit, and your default 

directory is set to "C:\My Documents" ... Go to <Tools>, <Options> and 

click on the <General> tab to verify/set your default database folder.
