I have created an access database using Access 97 on a work station
using Win NT.  I downloaded a file from the mainframe in the same format
as the database.  It is a text fixed field file.  I open Access, open
the database and table to be loaded, go to file , select get external
data, then import.
The import brings up the box to select the file to import, which I do,
and with it high lighted , select import.
The box goes away and nothing happens......no message, nothing...it is
as if I never selected anything....
I have used this in the past and selecting import brings up the import
wizard which steps you thru the process...
Any suggestions??????
