I experienced this a few years back when I first got into Access. No one was able to resolve it at this company. Fortunately I moved
on to another company and never came across it again, until now. The dreaded "Program Error" message.
It gives you a popup with the title "Program Error".
It has no error numbers. The error message text is...
msaccess.exe has generated errors and will be closed by
Windows. You will need to restart the program.
An error log is being created.
Then there is a Cancel button at the bottom.
Your applications shuts down.
I hate this message. Where is the error log they speak of? This only happens on certain machines. I have been working in this
application for months. Now when I open a certain report in this app, I get the message and the darned thing shuts down. I can open
any other report. Anyone else can open the same report from their machine.
Now that I've vented, can anyone help me.

I don't know the answer, but this is what I do
1.. compile to ensure there are no errors
2.. look for the differences in the PCs - start with the references, their
versions and the order in which they appear. If there is any doubt the
Access version then reinstall it.
3.. if possible go back to a recent backup where this problem did not
occur, then rebuild the changes - test for the problem after each small
change
4.. build the problem in a different environment - in your case import the
report and tables into a new database. Be wary of names that might be
causing problems, not just reserved words - you are looking for an array
that you do not realize is being referenced in the wrong way. Also watch for
areas where different forms / reports may be using the same tables at the
same time - be wary of the record pointers.
I also cast dispersions about Bill's mother but that does not do me any
good. Thinking about the problem at the gym works 99% of the time.
