access thread: Menu shortcut keys disabled when forms are open

I guess this will identify me as a newbie. I haven't touched Access in a
few years.
Whenever I open a form, the shortcut keys to activate a menu item are
being disabled. Is this something I have control over?

I figured this out.
My form was set to Control Box = NO. With this option the normal shortcut
keys to get to menus work as though the form were a modal dialog: they are
disabled until the form is closed.
Nice "feature" here, this sure seems like it should be a display
formatting option!

Paul,

Yes, if you open your database and click TOOLS then STARTUP, you'll see a
checkbox that lets you allow (or not) shortcut menus in your database.
