I have access 2002 that I use to link to my SQL 2000 server on a remote
site. For months I have to manipulate tables in access, then add data
using Visual Interdev 6.0 as the database is read-only in access and I
can't create tables in VI 6.0. Initially this was OK but it is now driving
me insane.
The problem resolves around ownership. Most of my tables were loaded using
the "Get External Data" Import wizard in access. This results in the table
being Read-only in access. But, VI 6.0 has rights to import data. Tables
that are created using Add "New Table" have permissions to read/write in
access. My question is... with a massive++ amount of data how can I change
ownership so access is fully functioning, and retain the functionality in
VI 6.0
Help!
