access thread: EMERGENCY "Unrecognized Database Format"

HI GUYS,
I just run the security wizard to finalized everything then after the report showed-up my machine hangs. Then when i tried to open
my db and gives me the above error and access cannot repair it.
Anyone encountered this error and re-solved it, please let me know a.s.a.p. because I need to install this db tomorrow.
I have my back-up but after that i made a lot of changes.
PLEASE HELP....

Hi George
Have you tried jetcomp.exe from M$, this I find works better than the one in
Access.

I found it and downloaded but i have an error "Error compacting database.
I provide the ff:
My .mdw file,
Administrator user and password
Database to compact from (source) is my corrupted database.
Database to compact into (distanation) is a blank database.
Did i miss something?
