access thread: DEVLOPER Access & SQL

Message #1 by Gerald Lee <gl17@s...> on Fri, 30 Aug 2002 17:32:41 -0600
Two developers wanting to use Access & SQL for a project to be developed. Is
there any way to share the project and allow for more than one developer to
work on the forms etc.?

Gene,

It is not a Web site. ACCESS and SQL project. Access the client, and SQL
data warehouse.

if you have common server, put the application in that server. next in
access setting. go to tools/options/advance applet and select shared.
this should allow you to work on the same project.

 khyam,

Okay, I have gone into the shared folder where Access Project has been
placed, but I do not see any option for selecting shared in the
Tools/Options/Advance tab called applet. This is not a standard Access
database this is a PROJECT database, what am I missing.

KHYAM,

Okay, thanks for continuing to look. I do hope there is a way to share the
Access project (ADP). Otherwise it is a very restricted developer tool. Just
a one man developer, rather than two or more.

Thanks again.
