Hello Friends,


I installed the desktop components and then I tried MDSE and it does the 
mysterious INSTALL - ROLLBACK - UNINSTALL. W

ell I have cruised the internet trying to find out why MDSE will not 
install on win2k. I read that I have to set allow unsigned drivers in 
security, install FILE AND PRINT SHARING, make sure I have a network card, 
run LOCDOC /r:??? (or somthing like this) before install, uninstall SQL 
delete registry entries, and run regclean, but it won't install. I've 
tried it from the SQL2000 Disk and from the Access 2002 disk. I've tried 
it from my CD-ROM, copied to my harddrive and installed and copied it to a 
zip drive and install. Please, what am I doing wrong?
