Hello all,
I have a problem that I could really use some help on. I apologize if
this topic has come up before, but I am new to this site and I didn't
find it when I searched the archive. Anyways, here goes:
I developed a database application using Access XP w/ SP2 and am
attempting to use the XP Developer Packaging Wizard to deploy the
application. My problem is when I create the package (including the 2002
RunTime) and install it on a machine with Access 97 my app runs fine, but
if a user tries to open any pre-exisiting 97 apps using desktop icons
they get error messages. I installed the Office XP Service Pack 1 and the
Packaging Wizard Patch and it still happens. The problem is I am going to
be distributing this app to a number of users that have 97 apps already
on their machine so I need to find a way for the two run-times to co-
exist. Any ideas? Is this doable? Please say yes!!! Thanks in advance for
your help and Happy Holidays!
Joe
