The United States government section 508 requirements are set out at

http://www.section508.gov/.

"Section 508 requires that Federal agencies' electronic and information

technology is accessible to people with disabilities. The Federal

Information Technology Accessibility Initiative is a Federal government

interagency effort to offer information and technical assistance to assist

in the successful implementation of Section 508

."

Australian Standards for Accessible Web Design are at

http://www.lawlink.nsw.gov.au/lawlink.nsf/pages/aus_standards .

There is a good collection of links from the CERLIM* project at

http://www.mmu.ac.uk/h-ss/cerlim/projects/reviel/resource.htm .

*CERLIM is situated within the Department of Information and Communications

at Manchester Metropolitan University.
