I just purchased "Professional ADO .NET" (1-861005-27-X) from amazon.
On amazon's web site, it states that the list price is $59.99 and the
cover shows 8 authors (same as on Wrox site). The book I got in the mail
has NINE cover authors and actually the title is "Progfessional ADO .NET
Programming" Also, the list price of the book I got was $49.99. (same
ISBN) Can ANYONE tell me the difference between these two books? Which one
is more recent? If anyone from Wrox is listening, please reply.

Hi Christopher,
These are one and the same book. The confusion has been caused by the
information on Amazon not being up to date.
Prior to publication of our books, we send Amazon information about a title,
together with a picture of the cover. Occasionally, some changes will occur
to the book prior to its publication. This is what has occurred with this
book.
The cover that they are still displaying was a pre-publication version.
Likewise, the list price that they are showing was changed prior to
publication to $49.99.
We are sorry that some confusion has arisen because of this. We will get in
touch with Amazon to ensure that this information is changed ASAP.
Regards,
Alastair

Thanks,
The Wrox website itself needs to be updated as well.
