Hi Everyone,
 
            I just started out learning database programming. My PC does 
not have ODBC drivers setup in the settings. I tried downloading the 
drivers from the microsoft website but didn't know whether they were set 
up. Can anyone tell me how to do this. U'r help will be greatly 
appreciated.

Install MDAC
www.microsoft.com/data
The ODBC drivers will be installed by default.  Next, create a database you
want to use.  Go to the ODBC settings in your operating system and create a
DSN for this database.  Now you can use it in your application.

BTW, do yourself a favor : use OleDB or even DAO instead of ODBC, it's much
faster
