Hellow, Friends!



We just set up a web server at a remote location for students to create 

web sites using Visual InterDev 6.  It seems fine for creating a web 

site.  However, the web page does not display any database data. No error 

message.  I used both SQL Server and MS-Access. Both are on my home 

computer with proper access to the web server mentioned.  Visual InterDev 

does not have any problem connecting the databases.  My access permission 

level to both databases are admin.  I just wonder is it because when the 

web site is stored on a remote server, I have to have a database server 

copy on that server, too? If you happen to know the reason, please let me 

know.



On my home computer, I have SQL Server 7.0, MS-Access 2000 and Visual 

InterDev 6.  I have no such problem at all.  My computer is used both as a 

web server and a database server. I am afraid when I go to school computer 

lab,the same problem will emerge.  What should I do to ensure remote data 

access?
