Is there anyway to specify to CDONTS which email
server to use?

No. CDONTS only allows to submit SMTP messages to the local Microsoft
IIS4/5 SMTP Service.
However, if you run Windows 2000 you have CDOSYS (CDO for Windows 2000)
which supports such features.
